"Nature, time and patience are three great physicians."

Benefits of Horticultural Therapy

The practice of horticultural therapy provides the therapist with a unique opportunity to leverage the positive interaction between people, plants and gardens to achieve improvements in cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being across a variety of healthcare, residential, school, and rehabilitative settings.

Who We Help

Horticultural therapy can benefit all of us at one time or another.  Programs are designed to address and remediate the challenges of the developmentally, physically or emotionally disabled, older adults, children, or veterans within healthcare, residential, school, and rehabilitative settings.

HT is embraced by facilities and practitioners world-wide. HT practitioners are most commonly employed by institutions or residential treatment centers, typically within occupational or recreational therapy departments, or as consultants.
